A) What was the article about?
it was about a news paper going out of business, and they were saying how the online papers weren't helping. because people can just go look at the news paper online for free
B) How does all of this apply to the profession of journalism, our class, and more importantly, to the future of journalism in this country on the whole?
it shows how people are relying more on the web for their news and people can access it quicker and cheaper. our paper is free to everyone but its not that big.

Why can't they just make a pay every month plan or the news papers online?

You know I didn't even mention anything about the online newspapers, kinda forgot about that part. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteIt would probably help with newspapers going out of business if they charged a subscription for the online version, but the thing is that people would still be able to get the information from somewhere else online just as easily without paying.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the small local newspapers should be shut down first. And i agree that the online newspaper should also be charged.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like an online newspaper would be a good idea, but if they're not charged then there would be no way to pay the journalists. And like Clare said, people can just get the same information for free somewhere else.
